Information we collect

Here is the short version: you do not need an account to use Wordle Hints Today, and the site does not ask for your name. The only information you deliberately send us is what you put in the contact form. That may include an email address if you want a reply. We use it to read your message and respond, not for a mailing list.

Google Analytics helps us see which pages people visit and broad details such as country, device type, and browser. We look at those figures as totals. We do not use them to work out who an individual visitor is, and we do not sell personal information.

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like other hosting providers, Vercel may process ordinary request data so that pages can be delivered and the service can be kept secure.

Cookies and local storage

Google Analytics and Google AdSense may use cookies to distinguish one visit from another, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and, where permitted, personalize advertising. The site also stores a few choices in your browser: your date preference, prompts you have dismissed, and votes left on hints. A short-lived country-code cookie is used to decide whether analytics should load and whether the local-date option should appear.

You can block or remove cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may reset those small preferences, but it will not stop the hints, answer archive, or word tools from working.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to display advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to measure how ads perform, prevent invalid activity, and, where the law allows it, personalize what is shown. Your rights

Your rights depend on where you live. If you want to ask what data is connected with a message you sent, or make another privacy request, contact us and explain what you need.

Children

The site is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly ask children for or collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, for example when advertising partners are added, we will update this page and revise the date at the top.
