This list covers 5.2 years of puzzles, from June 19, 2021 through September 3, 2026, 1,903 answers in total. The overall average difficulty is 3.1/6. Search by word, date, or puzzle number, or switch to Alphabetical A–Z from the Sort menu.

All 1,903 published puzzles are scored on the same six-point difficulty scale. Each score blends NYT tester results with publicly shared player data, weighted before the final number is calculated. Older puzzles without measured results carry a word-analysis estimate, clearly marked.

The top three letters account for 31.3% of all published answers, and the ten shown in the chart cover 70.7%. At the other end, J, Y, and Z start just 23 answers combined (1.2%), which is why a rare confirmed first letter narrows the pool much more sharply than a common one.
